FOUNDATION

The mission of the Door County Jazz Foundation, Inc., is to create a cultural arts movement in Door County, Wisconsin focused on community building and fostering cultural arts opportunities in and around the Door County area. By supporting the Door County Jazz Foundation, you are encouraging the continued growth of the Arts in Door County, while also supporting efforts for collaboration, discovery and exploration in which one can find through engaging with the Arts.

The Door County Jazz Foundation is comprised of a Board of Directors ranging in expertise in community administration to journalism and music management to jazz performance and music education.

KEN PABICH

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Ken Pabich serves as the County Administrator for Door County, a role he has held since 2015. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, he is an active member of the community, serving on the Board of Directors for Door County Economic Development, Destination Door County, and the Rotary Club of Sturgeon Bay.

TAMARA SAVIANO

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

For more than thirty years, Saviano has specialized in Americana and Folk as a music business consultant, artist manager, marketing strategist and public relations director. Now she is the President and Creative Director of Guy Clark LLC, Truly Handmade Records, and the Guy Clark Family Foundation. Saviano is a three-time Grammy nominee and took home the statue for producing 2004’s Grammy-winning Best Traditional Folk Album, Beautiful Dreamer: The Songs of Stephen Foster. Saviano produced The Pilgrim: A Celebration of Kris Kristofferson in 2006. Without Getting Killed or Caught: The Life and Music of Guy Clark, Saviano’s biography on legendary songwriter Guy Clark, was released by Texas A&M University Press in 2016 and won the prestigious Belmont Award from the International Country Music Conference for the best writing on country music that year. Her documentary feature on Clark, Without Getting Killed or Caught, is the winner of SXSW’s 2021 Louis Black Lonestar Award and the 2021 Rockport Film Festival’s Audience Award. Saviano’s latest book (June, 2025) is Poets & Dreamers: My Life in Americana Music. Part memoir and part oral history, the book explores the rise of Americana music as a genre. Saviano is in the process of writing a historical fiction novel set in Door County, Wisconsin.

GREG FORTON

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Greg Forton is a seasoned trumpet player and High School Music educator and administrator, recently retired from Hortonville, Wisconsin, who now shares his passion through community and festival work. Forton is a member of the Mile of Music Education Team and also leads popular performances and workshops with his Ukulele group, “Forté and the Pianissimos.” His dedication to musical growth and education earned him recognition as an “Educator of the Year” finalist by the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce as part of the Excellence in Education Shining Star Awards in 2022. Forton’s engaging teaching style and commitment to expanding access to music education has made him a respected and beloved figure in the Wisconsin arts community.

STACI GRIESBACH

FOUNDATION PRESIDENT

Staci Griesbach is a vocalist, songwriter, producer and marketing communications executive leveraging more than 20 years of experience in the entertainment business, music, TV and Film. As a vocalist and producer, Griesbach produced a Songbook series featuring the music of Patsy Cline, Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, and George Jones. Griesbach’s 2023 Christmastime album landed her original single, “You and Me at Christmastime,” in a Hallmark Christmas movie. Griesbach is currently working on a celebration of June Christy at 100, honoring the work of the midwestern singer turned west-coaster. Griesbach has performed at iconic venues including New York’s famous Carnegie Hall, Birdland Theatre Jazz Club (NYC), the Country Music Hall of Fame, Catalina Jazz Club. Griesbach spent nearly 14 years at Sony Picture Entertainment, most recently as Vice President of Worldwide Publicity, leading campaigns for some of the studio’s biggest film and TV franchises, including Spider-Man, Breaking Bad, Seinfeld, Ghostbusters and more. Griesbach resides in Santa Monica, CA, and is an Arts Commissioner for the City, promoting her passion for the Arts. Griesbach recently produced “A Cherry Pie Christmas,” filmed in Door County, WI, and comes with more than 20 years of working in the entertainment industry.
